Terms of Service

Effective: 2026-09-01Last updated: 2026-09-01

1. Who we are

Grow Story Time is a family entertainment web app for creating, saving, reading and listening to stories.

Grow Story Time is a family entertainment service operated by Red Ox Ventures LLC.

These terms are the agreement between your family and Red Ox Ventures LLC about using the service. By using Grow Story Time you accept what this page says.

2. What it is, and what it is not

Grow Story Time writes personalized stories for the children in a family, keeps them in a private library, and reads them aloud.

Grow Story Time is family entertainment. It is not an educational service, therapeutic platform, psychological tool, medical service, parenting-advice service, or diagnostic or treatment service. It does not provide emergency services.

References to "learning and growing" are part of the brand's emotional and narrative promise and do not constitute a guarantee of educational, behavioral, psychological, or medical outcomes.

If your child needs professional help, please seek it. A story is not a substitute.

3. Who can use it

The account belongs to an adult. To open one you must be at least 18 and able to accept these terms.

Children may listen to the stories, look at them, and take part alongside their family. They should not open an account on their own or enter information directly without an adult present.

When an adult provides information about a child — their name, their age, what they are going through — that adult represents that they have the authority to do so.

4. Your account

You sign in with a Google account or with a link sent to your email. We do not use passwords of our own.

Anyone who can open that inbox or that Google account can get into yours. Looking after that access is your side of the deal.

If you think someone got in without your permission, write to us at hello@growstorytime.com.

5. Your family, and whoever joins with your invitation

A family can invite another adult — the other parent, a grandparent, whoever looks after the children — to join the same family.

Whoever joins with that invitation sees everything in that family: the children's profiles, the stories, the recordings. Inviting someone means giving them that access, so invite only people you genuinely want inside.

Whoever sent the invitation can remove someone from the family at any time.

6. The stories you create, and who owns them

The stories your family creates belong to your family. You can read them, listen to them, save them, print them, and share them with whoever you like, for personal, non-commercial use.

To provide the service we need permission to store that content, process it, generate its audio, and show it to your family. That permission is only for that, and it ends when the content is deleted.

What you write — what you tell us about your child, the names, the situations — remains yours. How it is handled is in the Privacy Policy.

Grow Story Time's public catalog, its characters, its voices, its illustrations, its name, and its software are ours and are not licensed with your account.

A story written for another family may resemble yours. Nobody owns an idea.

7. The stories are written by a model

Stories are generated by an artificial intelligence model from what the family writes. No person reviews them before they appear on your screen.

That means two honest things:

If a story comes out wrong, tell us: hello@growstorytime.com.

8. Voices and recordings

The audio in our house characters' voices is generated by a speech synthesis service. Those voices are part of the product and may not be extracted, copied, or reused outside Grow Story Time.

A family can also record their own voice to narrate their stories. Those recordings are theirs, are used only for that, and can be deleted from the app.

Do not record a person without their permission, and do not upload someone's voice without their agreement.

9. What you may not do

By using Grow Story Time you agree not to:

We may suspend or close an account that does any of these.

10. Premium

Part of Grow Story Time is offered through a paid subscription.

What is charged, how often, how to cancel, and how refunds work is in the Subscription and Refund Terms, which form part of this agreement.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise it will never go down or never fail. There is maintenance, there are providers we depend on, and there are bugs.

The product changes: we add things, remove others, and sometimes a feature stops existing. If a change removes something significant from a paid plan, we give notice as described in the Subscription and Refund Terms.

12. How this ends

You can stop using Grow Story Time whenever you want. To request deletion of your account and what is inside it, write to hello@growstorytime.com; how that works is described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts someone at risk, or when the law requires it. Unless there is an urgent reason, we give notice first.

If you close the account or we close it, the subscription is governed by the Subscription and Refund Terms.

13. Warranties and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, Red Ox Ventures LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. In any case, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed what that family paid us in the previous twelve months.

Some state laws do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or certain damages to be limited. Where that is the case, this section applies only as far as the law allows, and the rest stands.

14. Governing law and disagreements

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Let's talk first. If something goes wrong, write to hello@growstorytime.com. Almost everything gets solved that way, and faster.

If it is not resolved, claims are brought in the state or federal courts of the State of Texas, and both parties accept their jurisdiction. None of this prevents you from bringing a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When a change is significant we will give notice by email or inside the app, with reasonable advance warning, and update the date above.

Continuing to use Grow Story Time after a change means accepting it. If you do not accept it, you can stop using the service and cancel your subscription.
